Senior Presales - APAC - Roaming / Charging / Fraud Space

I am engaged with on behalf of a leading Telco Vendor in the Mobile Roaming (including Roaming VAS), Clearing, Revenue Assurance and Fraud Management spaces?

Essentially my client are looking for a Presales / Technical Account Manager person to support their sales teams in the APAC region. Ideally the person would have a solid telco engineering background that can adapt to selling a variety of different solutions including Roaming, Charging, Rating, Revenue Protection, Business Intelligence, Interconnect Billing, Mobile Messaging, and application billing solution.
The role is based in Singapore.

Candidates could ideally come from the Roaming space (Starhome, Syniverse etc), the VAS space (Comverse, Acision, Openwave, Bytemobile + others) or from the billing / Charging / Fraud space (Amdocs, LHS / Ericsson, Convergys, Comverse, NSN, Ericsson, Huawei, NEC etc). The main part is a solid technical understanding of how mobile operators function at a technical level. Candidates should be able to speak a minimum of English but any other languages would be an advantage. The person would need previous customer facing skills, responding to RFI's, making customer presentations and assisting a sales team.

The company itself is going from strength to strength and is supplying to most countries in the APAC region. They have around 10-12 people in the region split over Singapore / Japan and China etc. The salary package will be 1st class.

My Client enables the efficient flow of mobile traffic, of service validation, delivery and billing information, and of settlement transactions. My client's solutions unite Communications Service Providers (CSP's) to realise new market opportunities, they connect CSP's for the efficient delivery of mobile services, and they empower CSP's to optimise business performance.

My client is the largest provider of data and financial clearing solutions for wireless roaming and operates the world's largest open connectivity Roaming hub, Link2One. More than 60% of all NRTRDE files are processed and verified in my client's NRTRDE hub.

My client has offices in 12 countries and employs more than 1,000 people worldwide serving over 650 Customers, including CSP's like Orange, Vodafone, TDC, Cable & Wireless, Verizon, Microsoft and Nokia, as well as enterprise messaging customers like KLM. My client is currently looking for an experienced and professional Pre-Sales Expert.

Job Description

My client’s Pre-Sales team has a Global responsibility for providing the technical sales support required to close business successfully.
As a Pre-Sales expert, you will play an active role in sales by identifying, understanding, defining and providing feedback on prospects needs, objectives and business requirements. As a result of understanding business requirements at a detailed level, the role requires the development of demonstrable solutions that clearly differentiate my client’s value.
The role requires the highest level of presentation standards enabling a solution to be presented, demonstrated and fully explained to a wide audience, from technical decision makers to senior “C” level management within a Customer or Prospect.

Based in Singapore, travel will be required to meet both customers and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities
• Building and managing technical and business relationships during sales cycles.
• Development of a deep understanding of a customers business requirements.
• Demonstration of my client's technical and business value through demonstration, presentation and explanation.
• Ensuring seamless transition of closed sales into implementation team.
• Business case creation.
• Significant input into RFI and RFQ responses.
• Providing feedback to product management and development concerning market receptiveness to offering and providing information regarding competitive market changes.
Required Skills and Background
• Native level of English. Any additional language being a plus.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in the roaming businesses of MNO’s or MVNO’s.
• Experience in demonstrating and presenting business solutions to customers and prospects from a technical perspective.
• Experience in building and leading small and agile teams.
• Strong consultative, communication, presentation and facilitation sales skills.
• Strong analytical, problem solving and process and solution oriented abilities.
